On Tuesday, 3rd of February 2015, Dr. Annita Antoniadou and her class “Cypriot Archaeology”, visited the Immersive and Creative Technologies (ICT) Lab of the Cyprus University of Technology.
After their regular lecture with subject “Technology in Archaeology”, they had the opportunity to see a demonstration of 3D scanning, using our 3D UNDERWORLD-SLS scanner.
Finally, visitors had the chance to experience virtual reality using the state-of-art VR CAVE. They tried different simulations especially those that were related to archaeology.

On Friday 16th, Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th of May 2014, the ICT Lab will open its doors to 30 interested participants who would like to participate in an experiment involving a Virtual Reality Treasure Hunt game! The UCLan Cyprus School of Sciences with the support of the UCLan Cyprus Student Support office, organized an educational trip for 1st and 2nd year students, to the Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts, Cyprus University of Technology. During their visit, the students had the opportunity to experience the state-of-the-art VR CAVE located at the Immersive and Creative Technologies Lab. The team of students was accompanied by Lecturer Josephina Antoniou.

The Immersive and Creative Technologies Lab is organizing an Open Information Day for the general public on the 12th July 2013 at the lab’s premises. During the Open Information Day interested parties will have the oppurtinity to try the VR CAVE.
